OPUHA WATER

WATER MANAGEMENT APPLICATION

The work we did for Opuha Water Limited demonstrates our ability to develop solutions for everyday complex problems . Additionally it demonstrates that we can work within even the most challenging frameworks to deliver easy to use products that represent industry leading user experience.

CHALLENGE:

  • Opuha Water Limited needed to create a digital water ordering system to replace their largely manual process.
  • The fax/phone/text/email ordering system was not immediate and required much double handling and reconciling.
  • Agricultural customers were very resistant to a new approach as many took a luddite approach and preferred good old pencil and paper.
  • In order to get uptake to the proposed system, Zoom Group had to ensure ease of use, simplicity, and reliability while creating efficiency for the administrative Opuha staff.

SOLUTION:

  • We created an easy to use website for Opuha Water that allowed farmers to get a quick snapshot of general conditions and then easily log in to the water ordering system.
  • The water ordering system has large graphics and easy to find buttons to demonstrate an obvious work flow.
  • Within 3 months of launch, 85% of all farmers were using the system to the exclusion of the previous manual version.
  • Efficiencies and reliability have increased dramatically as has the whole compliance process due to the auto reporting feature to regulatory councils.
